From the Foam
(2026)

From the Foam is a live audiovisual performance where complex shapes come out of simple rules.

Families of particles follow a few basic rules about what attracts and what repels. Nothing else. From the same parts the system produces forms that look like jellyfish, mushrooms, cells dividing, matter spiralling into a black hole, galaxies pulling apart. Each one holding for a while and then coming apart again.

Partway through, the rules turn asymmetric: particles chase each other instead of settling, and the whole thing starts moving like something alive.

Everything is generated in real time, and made in conversation with scientists.
